Late Mrs. Ethel Mercy Chiebonam Edozie (Nee Nwazota) was born in Aba, Abia state, Nigeria.
She attended St. Michaels Girls primary school, Aba.
She also went to St. Catherine Grammar school Nkwerre in Imo State.

She started her Nursing at Eyinu Teaching Hospital and during the war, She completed her Midwifery Nursing at Obafemi Awolowo Ile Ife and worked at Ilesha, Osun state before coming back to South East.

She also worked at St. Charles Borromeo Hospital Onitsha for about 20 years before joining the government -General hospital Onitsha till her retirement in 2009.

While growing up, Mercy was a very quiet and easy going person.
Her siblings and friends did not experience any form of teenage trouble from her.
Due to her peace loving nature, she was easily loved by anyone who crossed her path.

Mummy Mercy was also very Hospitable. She will make sure our stomachs were satisfied at all times. She was very caring and showed great concern even at the smallest challenge we ever had. She was not a pretender and will always call a spade a spade.
She was very easy going and contempt with her life. Always humble and wants the best for everyone that crosses her path.

Mummy Mercy was trustworthy and you could always count on her to keep whatever you want to be safe properly including money.

A good Christian, Loves God and member of Living Christ Mission since 1984 till the day God called her on 19th July, 2020.
It really hurts the passing away of our dear mother, Sister, Aunty but our consolation is in the scripture:
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
Revelation 14:13 KJV
